A little while ago, we made an intro guide to certifications that are often seen in our industry. Well, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that there are way more certifications out there.
Because of that, we’re doing an overview of more of the seals, certifications, and awards you’ll see around the industry. They just also happen to be ones TOC Logistics has. How cool is that?
Licensed Customs Broker
TOC is recognized as a Licensed Customs Broker by U.S. and Border Protection. This allows us to provide a wide range of services to help out importers and other customers.
As a Licensed Customs Broker, we’re experts in entry procedures, admissibility requirements, classification, and valuation of shipments. We can also share our knowledge on duty rates, taxes, and fees on imported goods. Essentially, it means we’re your organization’s best friend whenever you need to bring goods into the country.
NVOCC
TOC is a licensed Non-Vessel Operating Container Carrier (NVOCC) for ocean and air services. This means we’ve demonstrated to the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) that we abide by and meet the regulatory requirements for an NVOCC. We also have a filed license with the FMC to show our expertise.
While we’re at it, the FMC also recognizes TOC as a Freight Forwarder (License No. 023587NF). We’re pretty proud of these accomplishments.
ISO 14001
By being ISO 14001 certified, TOC demonstrates its commitment to reducing our impact on the earth. ISO 14001 is an international recognition for environmental management systems (EMS) and focuses on reducing the impact we make on the environment. We also focus on abiding by all required laws and regulations regarding the health of our world as a whole.
SmartWay Transport Partnership
The SmartWay Transport Partnership is a voluntary U.S. Environmental Protection Agency program that enhances the sustainability of supply chains around the world. SmartWay measures and monitors how efficient supply chains are, so partners can create meaningful impacts over the years. TOC is a proud member of this partnership!
